Manfredi Beninati (Palermo, 11 January 1970) is an Italian artist primarily working with painting, drawing, sculpture and installation.
He has briefly studied law before switching to film studies while working in Italian productions for a couple of years.
He has only accidentally become an artist as a consequence of a bet in january 2000. Since than he has gained international attention with solo shows throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia and participations in a number of biennials and museum shows.
In 2012 he has decided to take a long sabbatical to dedicate his time and energy to a foundation and a library he set up in his hometown with his mother Carla Garofalo in the memory of his brother Flavio who had died aged 33 in 2006.
He lives and works in Palermo and Los Angeles.
